— Art and iconography in the Middle Ages —
This line of research studies the didactic function of
the medieval churches, which used language to enlighten
society about its own nature and its relationship with
the sacred. To decipher that message, the methodology of
literary and film analysis itself was mainly used,
focusing on how time evolved during the story. In that
way, we can analyse the message that the author of the
work wanted to convey and we can also, which is just as
important, understand what the illiterate spectators
understood.
