— Territory and society from Late Antiquity
to High Middle Ages—
The study of how space was socially organised is based
on the relations established between power and society
through the institutional and economic structures. That
dialogue led to the hierarchical arrangement of the
territory where, based on decision-making, the people,
administration and economy were structured in a specific
way. That methodology was applied to several areas in
the Iberian Peninsula, especially during the transition
from the ancient to the medieval world.
