— The Santa Cruz la Real monastery in
Segovia: History and Art —
The fundamental purpose of this project is to provide a
complete vision of the evolution of the Santa Cruz la
Real monument in Segovia, from its foundation as a
convent for a community of the Order of Preachers by
Saint Dominic of Guzmán in 1218 to the present day. It
is a multidisciplinary research which includes the
historical and artistic analysis, art aesthetics and
architecture archaeology methodologies. Therefore, it is
structured into five large chapters which diachronically
deal with the vicissitudes suffered by the Santa Cruz
convent throughout history.
